Elijah Blue Allman waives arraignment, faces multiple charges, and a family crisis spills into public view

Cher is once again in the headlines, but this time the spotlight is not on music or legacy. It is on her son, Elijah Blue Allman, and a legal situation that keeps escalating.

Allman, 49, has waived his arraignment in a New Hampshire case tied to a February 2026 incident at St. Paul’s School, an elite prep institution where he reportedly had no connection. Authorities say he caused a disturbance and behaved aggressively, leading to charges that include assault, trespassing, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct.
Instead of contesting the charges immediately, Allman is now headed straight to trial, currently scheduled for June. And that is just one layer.
Days after the school incident, he was arrested again for allegedly breaking into a residential property in New Hampshire, adding more legal weight to an already serious situation.
Allman is reportedly being held in a psychiatric facility as officials assess his competency to stand trial. At the same time, Cher has filed again for conservatorship over his estate, citing severe mental health struggles, substance abuse, and an inability to manage his life or finances.
This is not new. Their relationship has long been complicated, shaped by addiction battles, public fallouts, and attempts at intervention. But the stakes now feel different. The optics are intense. A global icon fighting to regain control of her son’s life while he faces criminal charges across multiple cases.
