Drake Lasers 63 Witnesses and Literally Tapes a Subpoena to a Door in ‘Not Like Us’ Legal Squall

It’s not just another rap battle anymore, Drake turned the feud with Universal Music Group (UMG) into full-on corporate litigation. After accusing UMG of defaming him by promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us,” the fallout has gotten wild. So wild, in fact, he went from verbal sparring to subpoenaing 63 witnesses and even got the green light to slap a legal notice on someone’s front door. Yes, front door.

Drake’s legal team is pushing the narrative that UMG deployed bots, shady influencers, and streaming algorithms to elevate the diss track, exposing him to threats and defamation. The witness list reads like a who’s who of the music industry, UMG executives, streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, TikTok, even the NFL and pgLang. That’s not subpoenaing witnesses; that’s summoning an entire ecosystem.

One subpoena target, Kojo Menne Asamoah, has been ghosting serve attempts, prompting Drake to spend over $75,000 tracking him down. Now, court papers show he’s officially been served via door taping after multiple failed attempts.
