Meek Mill’s Early Morning “Prank” From the NYPD, ‘Not Funny’!

Meek Mill takes no prisoners in his latest post-interaction roast of the cops, straight from handcuffs to social media fire-storm.

In the early hours just after 4:00 a.m., Meek Mill was outside the Manhattan club Harbor NYC when a club bouncer believed he may have had a gun and asked him about it. Surveillance reportedly shows him walking to his car, placing an unknown item inside, then returning to the club. Shortly after, NYPD officers pulled him over, made him step out of the vehicle, handcuffed him in full view of everyone and ultimately found nothing.

Meek did not mince words. On X (formerly Twitter) he raged: “They just pulled me out the car and cuffed me in front of the whole club embarrassed the s### out of me in NYC! I’m not scared to go outside without a gun … they had guns in my face for no reason smh I thought it was a prank.” Then he added: “They tryna get me ……”

Beyond the drama this is a deeper moment. Meek is no stranger to the justice system spotlight. His advocacy work with Reform Alliance on probation and incarceration reform is well known. The message? Even when bigger headlines fade he still feels the system tightening around him. Publicly handcuffed in front of peers and fans, then left with no explanation or obvious charge.

Meek felt targeted. He felt embarrassed. He felt the guns pointed at him for no reason. And he made sure the world heard that.
