Tory Lanez’s Deposition Drama: Megan Thee Stallion Demands Contempt Charges

Zoom calls from prison go sideways as Lanez allegedly mocks Megan’s legal team and now the court’s pushing back.

Tory Lanez is under fire again, this time for allegedly turning his April 9 deposition into a courtroom circus. According to Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team, Lanez disrupted the session via Zoom from prison, asking for laughably basic definitions like the meaning of “meet,” challenging authority, and even making pointed barbs about her attorney’s hair.

His behavior didn’t sit well with Megan’s lawyers, who filed a motion to hold him in contempt. The judge later ruled in Megan’s favor: Lanez was ordered to pay her legal fees for that botched deposition. Plus, any future questioning has to happen under strict court supervision, a magistrate judge will oversee the next round.

Lanez’s legal team didn’t go quietly, though. In September, they asked for a protective order, claiming the deposition posed a risk to his ongoing criminal appeal. But a judge shut that down.
