ART X Lagos has dropped something big, loud, and beautifully bold: the Resonance residency, a three-month creative leap to Paris tailored for Nigerian artists, curators, and designers. A full cultural exchange powered by Cité internationale des arts and the Embassy of France in Nigeria, with ART X bringing homegrown talent to the global stage.
From October 2025 through February 2026, three Nigerian creatives will receive mentorship from French curators, design experts from agency Trampoline, and lodging in a live-in studio in Paris’ artsy Marais district. Monthly stipends, full travel costs, and catered networking access all included, think runway-ready support for your practice. Collaborations with ART X Lagos post-residency? Oh yes, big-picture benefits too.
This inaugural cycle kicks off ART X’s 10-year anniversary season, “Imagining Otherwise, No Matter the Tide” a bold theme pushing Lagos cultural influence beyond borders.

Eligibility is simple but strict: applicants must live and work in Nigeria, be 23+ by January 2025, and hold at least five years of professional experience. Applications close on August 3, 2025 (11:59 PM WAT). Residency windows vary curatorial roles begin in October, design in November, visual arts in December.
This is more than a chance to live in Paris; it’s a pivot from local stage to global influence. ART X Lagos isn’t just exporting talent, it’s planting creative flags in Europe. Whether behind gallery walls or editorial pitches, Resonance looks like the start of something transformative. Artists, this is your runway, steal your spotlight.
