South African pop maestro Tyla just blessed us with her four-track EP We Wanna Party (WWP) on July 25 and she’s already promising more heat. In a fresh chat with Kiss Xtra, she revealed she’s dropping a bigger EP in October: “It’s summer now… I’m just trying to give bangers for people to have fun with.”
WWP already delivered two viral singles; “Bliss” and “Is It” and introduced newbies “Dynamite” (ft. Wizkid) and “Mr. Media,” instantly reshaping dance floors with its electro-R&B grooves and amapiano swing.
Tyla explained that as the global North chills in winter, she’s giving African summer an official soundtrack. And if her Instagram is anything to go by, the visuals, the energy, and the vibes are already dripping in finesse.
With a Grammy win, historic TikTok dominance, and festival stages behind her, Tyla’s next moves are about expansion, not experimentation. Expect the October drop to be more polished, more pop, and more unapologetically her.
