Chiamaka Nnadozie Does It Again: Bags Her Third Straight CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year

From WAFCON clean sheets to European silverware, Nnadozie just keeps proving she’s Africa’s unbothered wall in goal.

Chiamaka Nnadozie is officially on a streak, the Super Falcons’ shot-stopper just won the 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third year in a row.

It was a big year for her. On the continental stage, she was a rock for Nigeria during the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, keeping four clean sheets in six matches. Her efforts didn’t just help the Super Falcons win their tenth WAFCON title, she was also crowned the tournament’s best goalkeeper.

And she didn’t stop there. At club level, Nnadozie helped Paris FC snatch the Coupe de France Féminine, then made a high-profile move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Women’s Super League. Her debut in England was nothing shy of fireworks — she was Player of the Match, and landed nominations for WSL Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.

In the 2025 Ballon d’Or, she placed fourth in the Yashin Trophy, making her one of the top female goalkeepers in the world.

Back in Rabat at this year’s CAF Awards, she beat out tough competition, including Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini, to secure her title again.

Nnadozie isn’t just winning awards. She’s building a legacy. For young African girls dreaming of greatness between the posts, she’s proof you can be world class and unapologetically African, all at once.
