Kandi Burruss Closes the Curtain on an 11 Year Marriage and Enters a New Era

No shade throwing, just a serious reset! Kandi is focusing on her peace, her kids, and stepping into a new chapter on her own terms.

Reality star-mogul Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker are officially splitting up after 11 years of marriage, and yes, the tea is piping hot but it’s not messy, at least not publicly.

In a heartfelt statement, Kandi said she’s made the difficult decision “after deep thought and a lot of prayer” to divorce. She made it clear: this is not a war of words. She wants to protect her peace, lean into being the best mom she can be, and co-parent with “love and respect.”

They met back in 2011 on the set of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, when Todd was working behind the scenes. They tied the knot in April 2014, blending their lives and their families over the years. Together, they welcomed two kids: son Ace and daughter Blaze.

But Kandi wasn’t just a wife. She and Todd were business partners, running reality TV moments, a restaurant chain, even trucking ventures. Despite that shared hustle, she says this split isn’t about business or money. She’s stepping into “a new chapter” focused on personal growth, her work, and her family.

Sources told TMZ the separation has been relatively smooth: “legitimately no drama.” Fans had already been whispering when Kandi swapped her Instagram handle and skipped wearing her wedding ring.
