GloRilla and Young Thug Say “We Cool” After Wild Jail-Call Fallout

From “ugly” jabs to “we good”; drama resolved, and maybe a collab on the horizon

The drama between GloRilla and Young Thug had social media buzzing. Earlier this year a leaked jailhouse call revealed Young Thug trash-talking GloRilla’s appearance after a Rihanna comparison, calling her “that bitch ugly as f**k” and throwing shade at her wig and looks.

That took no time to blow up online. GloRilla didn’t sit back quietly. Instead she fired back with a diss track titled “Brianna,” roasting not just Young Thug but also his partner at the time, making it clear she was not backing down.

Young Thug soon issued a public apology on X, admitting the comments came from a rough moment in jail and insisting he did not genuinely mean them. He wrote, “I’m sorry to u twin.”

Fast forward to December 3, 2025 — GloRilla sat down with a reporter from Complex and dropped the verdict. She said they’ve talked it out, moved past the mess, and are back on good terms. “We cool, we cool,” she said plainly. She added that it was “a funny conversation” and that she doesn’t sweat something unless it involves real danger.

She even left the door cracked for future music — perhaps a joint project. “We’ll see about it,” she teased when asked if a collab might be in the works.

What’s real here is that in a world where every diss can turn into a long-lasting feud, these two chose to deescalate. GloRilla handled insult, clapped back with art, and in the end accepted an apology. Young Thug, for once, swallowed pride, owned up to his words, and tried to make amends.
