Ray J, yes, that Ray J is finally saying what needed to be said. In a raw interview on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, he slammed the harassment swirling around his name ever since Whitney Houston’s death, calling the rumors “super disrespectful”.
He denied ever being near the Beverly Hilton the night Whitney died in February 2012. As he stressed, “I wasn’t even in the same city.” He’s officially accused of murder and drug involvement, both claims he called baseless and hurtful. “When you know the truth… to have that false narrative spread? It’s unfair,” he said.

Ray J reaffirmed he never did drugs with Whitney nor sold them to anyone. Despite speculation, he insisted they planned to go public with their relationship before her death and that he’s still protecting her legacy by refusing to amplify rumors.
This might just be his “last interview,” but it’s long overdue. Ray J revealed that although he stayed silent for over a decade out of respect, watching conspiracy theories flourish online, especially those tied to recent high-profile trials, made him speak up. “[It’s] hurtful for me and my children,” he said.
