Pop provocateur Charli XCX and drummer George Daniel are officially married twice now. First, a quiet legal ceremony in London. Then, on September 14, 2025, the couple tied the knot again in dreamy Sicily. They turned things up for version two. Big smiles, full glam, friends, celebrities, romance in the Italian sunshine.

The first wedding happened July 19 at Hackney Town Hall. About 20 people, close family, a few of George’s bandmates. Not much flash. Charli wore a Vivienne Westwood off-the-shoulder gown, black sunglasses, high style, low fuss. George kept it sharp in a classic dark suit. They declared themselves married in private and personal way.
But they always planned more. The Sicilian celebration in Scopello, at Tonnara Di Scopello, was what dreams are made of. The guest list had names like Matty Healy, Troye Sivan, Shygirl, Clairo, Beabadoobee. Denise Welch (Matty’s mom) was there. The scene was lush. Charli, glowing in a sheer white gown with ribbon detailing. George in beige, elegant and relaxed. Everyone ready to dance, to eat, to toast.

They met in 2021 working on the song “Spinning.” Their romance blossomed, engagement came in November 2023, Instagram confirmed, Charli said stuff like “fucking for life.” Then London. Then Italy.
What stands out is how deliberate Charli and George are. They did one ceremony for paperwork, family, closeness. Then another for joy, extravagance, showing off love with all the people and all the style. They made it clear that weddings can be both real and spectacular. They chose authenticity and party. They chose love on their terms. And that is exactly what this double wedding says about who they are.
