In a headline that reads like a budget thriller, an Atlanta event company says it was swindled out of $187,500 trying to book Doechii for Baltimore’s AFRAM Festival. Cue winded receipts and drama.
Blackout Management LLC wired the hefty deposit in December 2024 to a New Jersey booking agent, Christopher Young, who claimed he had direct lines to TDE because why lie? Flash forward to March 2025, and suddenly the tour was “canceled due to commitments.” No contracts, no promo materials, just a disappearance act.
When Blackout checked with TDE directly, they discovered the twist: Young never booked Doechii, only had fleeting conversations about SiR. The money? Allegedly vanished into Young’s pocket, courtesy of Sacrifice Management LLC. Crafty, criminal, and cruel.

Despite settlement promises in May and July, Blackout says they never saw a dime. Now, they’re suing for fraud, misrepresentation, conversion, you name it, with damages seeking not just the $187K, but interest, legal fees, and punitive damages to match.
Music fans buy merch, not scams. While AFRAM is a Juneteenth giant drawing 150K+ every year, this plot is its own headline. Doechii was the name that disappeared, but the money did louder.
