Nicole Asinugo Launches The Lone Wolf Podcast, Because Solo Creatives Aren’t Alone Anymore

Nicole Asinugo just gave creatives everywhere something rare: permission to walk their path; alone, loud, and proud. With the launch of The Lone Wolf podcast, this award-winning screenwriter and storytelling powerhouse is rallying the soloists, the borderline misfits, and the unconventional trailblazers into a creative movement.

The premiere soirée, hosted at Lagos’s chic MÌLÍKÌ, was nothing short of cinematic. Think Aperol Spritz in hand, surrounded by filmmakers, designers, musicians, and writers each nodding quietly to their kind of beautiful solitude. It was a gathering that felt less like a networking event and more like rediscovering your tribe.

Nicole didn’t just emerge from Lagos her work has spun the globe. She curated narratives at Expo 2020 Dubai, scripted for Global Citizen concerts in New York, Paris, and Accra, and produced the Middle East’s mega-fashion spectacle, 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab. Now, back in Lagos, she’s building Write Good Stories, her storytelling agency built to elevate authentic African voices, The Lone Wolf is its podcast avatar.

As Nicole puts it:

“The Lone Wolf is more than my story, it’s about all of us who chose the unconventional route… the detours, the quiet seasons, they were part of the design all along.”

Her vision isn’t to hand out blueprints, but to remind us that, even when we roam solo, we don’t have to roam unloved or unseen. The Lone Wolf podcast is poetic validation for anyone who knows that creative independence isn’t loneliness, it’s liberation.
