At the center of this emotional rollercoaster is Jaiyeola Funtua, freshly heartbroken and making questionable choices such as; trying to seduce her ex’s mysterious rival, Hamza Bello, just to prove a point. But things spiral (obviously), dragging her loyal squad, Itohan, Chisom, and Korede into a whirlwind of love triangles, late-night truths, and quarter-life crises.
Written by Gimsay and co-directed with Stephanie Dadet, Lowkey Adults feels like what would happen if your group chat turned into a screenplay. All the drama, all the feelings, and enough chaotic brilliance to keep it real. One thing i’m sure about when it comes to Fatimah’s work, there will be heart palpitations. With an ensemble that includes Shamz Garuba, Adeoluwa Akintoba, Mallum Arik, and Omosalewa Fafowora, you are in for a very interesting watch.
